Tata Steel Limited earned a net profit of Rs 833.45 crore in the July-September quarter. There was also a net loss of Rs 6,196.24 crore in the same quarter last year.
Similarly, Jindal Steel reported a 37.97% decline in net profit in the July-September quarter, which was Rs 860.90 crore. NTPC company board has approved an investment of about Rs 80,000 crore. It is going to increase the capacity of its super-thermal power projects in Telangana, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh to 6400 MW.
Power Grid reported a 0.31% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 3,793 crore in the July-September quarter. Also, dividend has been declared. A dividend of Rs 4.50 per share will be given.
Similarly, Apollo Hospitals reported a 62.64% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 379 crore in the July-September quarter.
Royal Brunei Airlines has launched a direct flight to India from November 5. This flight will operate between Chennai and Brunei. Earlier, the airline had a flight to Kolkata, but it was suspended after September 2001.
