Suchnaji.com, Bhilai. Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav 2024, marks the Cultural Celebration to commemorate the state’s Foundation Day on 01st November 2000. A three-day cultural festival is being held at Atal Nagar, Nawa Raipur from 04th to 06th November 2024.
A large number of stalls have been set at the Rajyotsav site in which various institutions and Government Departments have put up exhibitions based on various subjects. SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant has also participated in this programme. SAIL-BSP’s contribution in the form of its products to several projects of national importance, including the Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and other warships, satellite launch vehicles, etc.
Integrated Steel-making operations at Bhilai Steel Plant, including Mines, Coke Ovens, Blast Furnaces, Steel Melting Shops, Sinter Plants, Universal Rail Mill, Plate Mill, Bar & Rod Mill, and Merchant & Wire Rod Mill have been depicted in the BSP’s huge pavilion which has been set up in an area of 1,350 sq. feet.
Guests and dignitaries including various ministers and senior Administrative Officials present on this occasion visited the BSP pavilion and took keen interest and appreciated the attractive Panels, Cutouts and Films displayed.
Samples of BSP products have also been displayed at the pavillion. Steel produced by SAIL-Bhilai has also been used in the construction of the Indian Navy’s Aircraft Carrier -INS Vikrant and other warships. The miniature model of INS Vikrant-Aircraft Carrier is one of the major attractions at the BSP pavilion.
The steel produced at SAIL-BSP is also used in defence, energy and power sectors as well as construction and infrastructure projects. The panels also display a detailed depiction of the newly constructed Chenab Rail Bridge which is the world’s highest rail bridge and the world’s highest arch bridge.
Social and CSR activities undertaken by the Plant in far-flung and tribal areas for rural development through the consistent efforts of Bhilai Steel Plant have been artistically showcased in the Pavilion. The Pavilion of BSP has been attracting crowds due to the impressive Panels, Models, Cutouts and Films on display. The visitors’ queries are answered by the BSP’s Public Relations department officials.
