Suchnaji.com News. Officers of Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISL), Bhadravathi,Karnataka staged a black badge protest on Wednesday against the premature retirement of 11 executives in SAIL.
The demonstration was part of 2 stage protest initiated by the Steel Executives Federation of India (SEFI) of which 1st stage was gate meeting that was conducted few days back.
The decision to retire the executives before their due tenure has sparked widespread concern among officers, raising issues of job security, fairness, and the overall work environment in the company.
The move has reportedly caused anxiety within the executive community, with many fearing similar actions in the future.
SEFI and various officers’ associations had earlier submitted representations to the SAIL Chairman and respective heads of units, urging them to reconsider the decision. Similar protests have been reported across other SAIL units.
