The Go live of the new state of the art digital system was completed in record time of only 23 days from the date of signing of MOU on 31.05.2023. DSP is the only steel plant in SAIL to include all types of receipts under one platform.
This was a long felt need by F&A department as receipt of payment in the bank was difficult to be reconciled with the receivables in SAP. This was creating issues in Bank Reconciliation.
The hi-tech payment gateway system was inaugurated online by Sri BP Singh, Director In-charge (Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plant) amidst presence of Prem Anup Sinha CGM Kolkata Circle SBI, P Murugesan ED (Projects) DSP, Kingshuk Bhattacharjee ED (MM) DSP, Arup Mukherjee CGM I/c (F&A) DSP, Vikash Manwati CGM I/c (P&A) DSP, Dr. Souvik Roy CMO I/c DSP, MK Chandra CGM (C&IT) DSP including other senior officials from DSP and SBI.

Being an important feature of the modern digital economy, payment gate allows customers to safely and securely share their financial information for payments. F&A and C&IT departments of DSP along with the active support of SBI technical team have developed a state-of-the-art digital payment gateway that integrates receipt from all sources viz. township, marketing, materials management, employees, ex-employees, hospital, etc.
The newly launched payment gateway at DSP is also expected to be beneficial to DSP as well as to their esteemed customers, suppliers, employees and other stakeholders. It will allow all stakeholders of DSP to pay from DSP’s website using various payment methods like Credit cards, Debit cards, Net banking, UPI, etc. The gateway will provide seamless and secure checkout experience with high success rates and instant receipts enabling customers to enjoy the convenience, transparency and affordability of the new payment gateway.
